John W. Budd is a professor in the Industrial Relations Center at the University of Minnesota’s Carlson School of Management where he holds an Industrial Relations Landgrant Professorship. Professor Budd has taught labor relations to undergraduates, professional Master’s students, and Ph.D. candidates and has received multiple teaching awards. I don't like it.

This book is aweful. It's difficult to understand and the index is not easy follow. For instance when I go to look for collective bargaining it says see bargaining. Collective bargaining is not under bargaining at all. This is the worst class book ever.

MUST BUY BOOK FOR 1D FANS!

My 14 year old daughters are some of the biggest fans of this group, and have been for years. This book is probably one of the best to come out. Each guy gets their own little chapter and there are TONS of pics and fun pages throughout the book. Im 38 and love this band as well--so yes--I did read it too. :) If your daughter or son is a One Direction fan---this is a must buy book. They will be very happy!

Look into One Direction's Heart and Souls

One Direction is a group that came and conquered the hearts, ears and minds of everyone. I am not their typical audience but I absolutely adore them! I have seen them in concert and they were phenomenal. When this book came out, I had already pre-ordered it and was waiting anxiously for it. It does not disappoint- the guys give you insight into their journey and you are privy to their insecurities, their hopes, fears and dreams. It is a well-wriiten and honest book and it is for everyone who loves these five talented guys with big hearts. Get it!! You will be happy you did:)

This is a great documentary and musical where you get to learn about the members in a really neat way. And the parents...the parents of these fast rising super stars say some pretty impactful things that get us parents thinking. I've got to say, I've never been a boy band fan, but when my daughter started liking these guys and I researched them out, I suddenly became one.

About the Author

Jai B. Kim, PE, PhD, is a professor emeritus of civil and environmental engineering at Bucknell University. He was department chairman for 26 years. Also, currently he is a bridge consultant (since 1980) and president of BKLB Structural Consultants, Inc. Recently he was a structural engineer at the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA). He has been active in bridge research for over 40 years, and was a member of the Transportation Research Board Committee of Bridges and Structures. He also served on the Structural PE Exam Committee of the National Council of Examiners and Surveying (NCEES) for many years. He holds a BSCE and MSCE from Oregon State University and a PhD from University of Maryland.

Robert H. Kim, PE, MSCE, is chief design engineer for BKLB Structural Consultants, Inc. He has extensive experience in the design, research, and construction of highway bridges. He has authored and presented several papers related to bridge engineering. Robert’s three books, Bridge Design for the Civil and Structural Professional Exams, Second Edition; Timber Design, Seventh Edition; and Civil Discipline Specific Review for the FE/EIT Exam are well-read by both students and engineers. In 2013, he is working on a bridge rehabilitation design in Connecticut. He holds a BS from Carnegie Mellon University and a MSCE from Penn State University.

Jonathan R. Eberle, BSCE is engaged in research with focus on the seismic design and analysis of structures at Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University as a graduate student. He holds a BSCE from Bucknell University.

Useful but it could be better if..

A good book, useful for P.E or S.E exam. The negative points are: I do not think that worth more than 100$. Also the total number of example are not that much. I wish they put at least 3 more full problems and explained solution more.

Valuable Book That Can Be Used to Prepare for the PE Exam

This book is very valuable;it can be used for preparing for the Professional Engineer Exam. I was able to learn the new bridge design method by following the clear example problems. Also, the separate tables of notations were helpful; I was able to follow the problems quickly. I really liked that whenever notations appeared (in the example problems), the AASHTO specification article numbers were noted. Also, it's a great reference book for both students & practicing engineers. Overall, I rate this valuable book as a "MUST BUY".

Dominant Cleansing Techniques

Why give this book a one star review,just because something sounds disgusting to you? On the other hand: The countless benefits have been known in various ancient tribes and in certain esoteric circles for centuries. Something that's of pertinent value should never be knocked; just because a person chooses to not try something that has been tested for eons. Though each individual makes their own choice don't give an extremely low review if you haven't even first tried the method. This book is worth even more than giving it just 5 stars! How about 100 stars!!!

this is a very insightful yet fundamentally "simple" book. It shows how one can create healing through the natural process of the body in a way that you wouldnt think about or really know but then when read it seams common sense.

As a newcomer to the romance scene, Jenny Lykins opens with a dramatic time travel set in beautiful Memphis, Tennessee. Her compelling look at time travel begins in 1996 with a lovely Marin Alexander beginning a new job as curator of an elegant old house that just happens to be haunted by the ghost of the one of the previous owners. When Marin first sees the ghost of Hunter Pierce, she senses there is something different about him. When she wakes up after wrecking her car to find herself in his arms, she thinks she's crazy. Crossing 120 years into the past, she finds she is not Marin Alexander any more, but Mari Sanders. She is not in her time. She is not in her life. She is not in her body. Hunter, in the meantime, is finding himself beset by females. First, his mother moves back in after being absent from his life for fifteen years. Then this young woman he has hired as his social secretary and his mother's companion suffers a terrible carriage accident, obviously causing some type of mental problem. She thinks she's from the future. Days later, he finds himself raising a daughter he didn't know he had. It just seems that females are flocking by herds into his once quiet home. But poor Hunter finds himself falling in love with Marin, something he had never dreamed would happen to him. New, refreshing, up to date approach to time-travel romance

Instead of the same old story, told with the same old twist. Jenny adds a whole new dimenson to
the idea of time-travel. I liked the way she used
real human emotions. The ending was a totally new angle and pulled the whole book together.
When you finished you felt she had told the whole story without leaving anything outl.

Possibly realistic

I like time travel books that could possibly take place. She had an almost fatal accident, finding herself in a different era; however, her body was still in the present in a coma. From time to time, she actually could feel herself being drawn back to the present with the beeping of hospital machines keeping her alive. She had to make a decision where she would spend the remainder of her life, if at all. I would like to read other books by this author.

I couldn't put this one down, fans of time-travel will love it!! Jenny Lykins is a talented author worth reading and has quickly become one of my favorite authors. "Lost Yesterday" is a wonderful, witty, and romantic story. The characters, Marin and Hunter, will find a place in your heart.
