Steele has captured the relationships between not only shiba owners, but dog owners all around! I love the funny day to day humor illustrated through these comics that anyone can relate to, and would highly recommend this!

This young lady has always been a delight, even more so when she became a responsible dog owner of a Sheltie for the first time and trained him.. Not only does she love dogs and animals she is a talented artist and a story teller. I'm sure her Momma is proud. I recommend this book to anyone who love Shiba's and dogs in general. Enjoy and share. I have no doubt you will love this book.

I've followed the tales of her pup Sasha on Facebook. This book is just as great as the first time I read them and always make me laugh. If you've ever owned a shiba or plan to, this is a must read that all of us in the shiba community can relate. I think I'll have to get another one to hang the comics up in my shibas bedroom aka my guestroom! Cannot wait for v.2!!!

Nothing new, nothing bad.

There weren't any reviews for this book, so I decided to take a chance.

I'm a fan of the Follow Me To instagram account, and personally find the pictures beautiful and inspiring. I expected to see many of the same pictures, but was expecting to perhaps see some new ones that weren't posted publicly, as well as to get more background on the pictures, the situations, and the photographer (and muse) themselves. Most of all, I wanted the photographs in a tangible form to pull out, look at, and be inspired anytime I wanted.

On the last account I'm not disappointed, the book is large and the pictures are the focus inside (one square page is a whole picture, and a whole page of "information" is next to it). I have read criticisms of the photographs themselves online, that they are not high-quality, blurry, over-saturated, etc, and seeing them larger than on an iphone you do tend to notice their faults more. Almost every picture inside the book is available on their instagram account and the information about the photos is sparse (I'm talking "This is ____, it was beautiful here. We were moved." being the essential template). I really wish more information was given, possibly a paragraph or two (when it was taken, about the trip, other things about the place, costume choice, etc) instead of the tweet-length blurb provided.

All of that being said, I really do like the book. It's inspires me to travel and see the world, and that's exactly why I bought it. If they came out with another one would I buy it? Absolutely. At the end of the day its the concept and the pictures which are the most striking and important!

this is a very well put together book, if you have followed them on social media you'll love it even more! the photos are stunning and they don't look like 'vacation' photos, but actually tell a story about this couples travels.

Delicious, easy, fuss free cooking. If you are looking for an authentic chinese cookbook that gives you new ideas, impressive dishes and does NOT require an endless laundry list of ingredients that are impossible to find and most of which go to waste - this is it! These recipies are simple to make, but not simple in taste. I consider myself a good cook and I have learnt many new techniques and experimented with new ingredients thanks to this book. The book itself is beautiful, great pictures and cute comments from Gok on every recipe - 5/5 love it!

Gok Wan is a fashion stylist who came to fame on British television with the series "How To Look Good Naked". Here is a tie-in book for a further British television series that follows Gok's other passion: Chinese Cooking.

Now, perhaps Gok Wan has had a bit of a head start as he grew up with a Chinese restauranteur and chef for a father and was inevitably dragooned into helping within the family business. This book guides the reader to making 80 quick and healthy Chinese dishes from Gok Wan's own personal and family recipe collection.

This reviewer has not seen the television series, so the book is having to speak for itself. It starts with a menu (the index) that is laid out in the style of a Chinese take-away leaflet that is so synonymous with Chinese food and Chinese take-aways for many Britons. After a bit of a personal story where Gok Wan shares his passion and inspiration to the reader, it is straight on to an overview about ingredients and their essentiality to Chinese cooking. Despite covering much of the same ground as many other 'how to' Chinese cookery books, somehow the author manages to make the information more accessible, in your face and thus more likely to sink into the old grey matter.

Time to get cooking! The first chapter is 'Chinese Takeaway Classics" and many of these have a somewhat special resonance to this reviewer, being a child of the 70's where fried rice or 'Chinese Chips' seemed to have a bit of an exotic aurora about them. Gok Wan has, however, eschewed the made-for-Westerners gloopy takeaway dishes and instead used his own healthier, tastier, more authentic equivalents. They sure look good and the high-quality photographs soon have you salivating. (The 'artistic' shots of Gok Wan, every so often, tasting a dish or prancing about don't have a specific effect to this reviewer, however!).

The other chapters - Chinese Sunday Roast: Dim Sum; Favourite Family Wan Dishes; Chinese Classics; Street Food; Feasting; One-Pot Wonders and finally Modern Dishes keep on delivering recipes like a machine gun delivers deadly bullets. Each recipe is well laid-out, contains detailed, explanatory instructions and even gives (hurrah!) an estimated preparation and cooking time to boot.

This was a pleasurable, unpretentious book that gives the total beginner (and the more experienced gastronome) many interesting recipes and a wonderful springboard to experiment further and try more adventurous recipes. This reviewer was initially concerned that it would be a case of 'style over substance' being a TV tie-in with a Fashionista but these concerns were soon blown away. Apart from the odd 'artistic' picture, the book is incredibly down-to-earth and just focusses on the main job in hand. Something many other books could do worse than emulate in fact.

Bug flavours and healthy eating

If you want a cook book that has recipes you can use without any prior knowledge of Chinese Cooking, to produce meals that have big flavours with healthy ingredients so you don't clog up your arteries, then this is the book for you. And it's easy enough to use the recipes to learn principles that you can apply to different ingredients. The only suggestion to ignore is that you use a cleaver to chop food if you have always been used to standard kitchen knives. Gok can handle a cleaver with expertise, because he was brought up with using one. But if you haven't, then stay away from this blade unless you feel you have too may fingers and would like to lose a few.
